L.A.'s Best New York Style Delis

Know something we don't?
A deli(cious) institution from the old days of MacArthur (Westlake) Park.
For under five bucks you can get a big jar of Langer's kosher dills (just tangy and crisp enough) to go, although you damn well better bring back the jar. Also, you can call ahead with your order and some nice person will bring it curbside. Al Langer established Langer's in 1947. His son Norm runs the place now, with his father checking in every so often. Almost forced out of business during the recession of the early '90s, Langer's was revitalized by the nearby Metro Red Line subway stop. The place is famous for its hand-cut pastrami sandwiches, which many consider to be the best in Los Angeles, perhaps even the country.

pretty good, but over priced $13 bucks is too much for a single regular sized pastrami sandwich. I would mind paying that much if it came with some fries...
