About
The characters in the Bob Baker Marionette Theater have been singing and dancing their way into kids' hearts since 1963. These interactive performances feature marionettes and stuffed animals of all shapes and sizes. The musical revues unfold before a young audience, which gathers on a horseshoe-shaped carpet. The black-clad puppeteers are all but invisible to the audience and children get swept away in the magic of the shows. The performances are done within touching distance of the kids, and sometimes the marionettes even sit in their laps. Bring a lunch to eat at the picnic tables in the lobby and stay to chat with the puppeteers. Reservations are required for all shows. --Susan Peterson, Author of "Fun Places to Go With Kids"

However, there are a couple of choice options for your pre- or post-puppet theater needs, including Tatou Supper Club which, despite its name, serves delicious lunches on weekdays from 11:30 till 3 p.m. Ti George's mouth-watering Haitian chicken is also available just a hop, skip and a jump up Glendale Blvd., if you don't mind a short drive or walk from the theater.
Tips: For an extra charge, a festive party room adjoining the theatre can be reserved for birthday celebrations, which includes cake and ice cream for young and old revelers alike.
