Times Description

Located near and partly funded by USC, the 24th Street Theatre serves as both a home for a professional theater company and an arts center for the local community. Plays, musical events, art exhibits and more find their way to the 4,000-square-foot stage of this converted garment factory. 24th Street is dedicated to revitalizing little-known classics, with productions like an avant-garde take on William Saroyan's "The Cave Dwellers" and an all-African American cast for "The Importance of Being Earnest." The company seeks out plays with universal themes that explore our common humanity.

The Glorious Players head up the 24th Street Family Theatre Wing, which presents plays that often encourage kids, as well as parents, to get involved with the action. Monthly music programs often feature USC School of Music faculty. The lobby walls are used to exhibit photography, and the lobby furniture is usable art created by craftsmen and artists.
