Home of the dueling rock-‘n’-roll pianos, Howl at the Moon is a magnet for college students and bachelorette parties. Now with a beer pong tournament every Tuesday. The national chain draws on the piano traditions of New Orleans and packages the experience. “Big Bad” pints and 64-oz. “buckets” lubricate the crowd, which participates enthusiastically in the show through song requests, sing-a-longs, roasts, and even karaoke on Tuesdays. On Thursdays, USC and UCLA students work through their cross-town rivalry over jello shots. Every seat in the house—even on the patio—has a view of the open-air stage. The exceptionally high ceilings seem designed to accommodate the acoustics of howling.

Ive been going to howl for a little over 3 years now and its probably the best bar with the best ambience in town. The waiters are prompt, the drinks are good, especially on thursdays and sundays, with dollar beers and 3 for 1, respectivly, and the music is good....
