Know something we don't?
In a pleasant, boutique-lined shopping center, Zov Karamardian has created a 13,000-square-foot emporium of wondrous bakery items and fresh, healthy dishes that mingle the flavors of Greece, Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia and North Africa. Well-prepared menu items include roasted rack of lamb, pan-seared Moroccan salmon on a bed of toasted couscous, rotisseried pork prime rib with sundried cherry sauce, seafood tagine (mussels, clams, prawns and sea bass bundled in grape leaves), Armenian sausage with goat cheese and herbs, and a garlicky prime rib.
Zov's signature wrap sandwiches pre-date the current trend by more than a decade. Here, softened Armenian cracker bread is filled with beef, herbed cream cheese, lettuce and tomatoes, while lavosh flatbread is stuffed with grilled chicken, shredded vegetables and tahini sauce. In the bakery, cheesecakes, fruit tarts, lemon curd cake and cookies are on display, along with fresh breads, muffins and brioche.
