Know something we don't?
Friendly neighborhood diner that could pass as a nursing home cafeteria at first glance. Since 1968.
Popular food: Best for their breakfast (served all day); fantastic matzo brie; corned beef and eggs; Mort's special brunch (two eggs, choice of lox, cod, white fish, or baked salmon with bagel, tomato, onion, and home fries, plus bottomless cup of joe); matzo ball soup; roast brisket dip.
Unique food: Kippers and eggs; kreplach; Chicken in the Pot (boiled half chicken with matzo ball and noodles).
Drinks: Soft drinks, coffee, egg crème, Dr. Brown beverages, beer and wine.
Seating: Large booths and a wood-finished counter with 15 seats.
Ambience: Overly friendly wait staff; pink walls; vinyl maroon booths; primarily elderly crowd from the large local Jewish community.
Extras/Notes: Same ownership for 33 years. Shares the entrance with Bea's Bakery. Two televisions behind counter for single patrons at counter.
Parking: Park in adjacent Von's lot.
