Walk through the red glass door into the elevator chamber, and the lift will whisk you across continents and centuries to the decadence of imperial Russia. A regal mosaic glass chandelier illuminates the theatre-style dining room lined with crimson velvet tapestries and accented with Fabergé eggs. Feast like a czar with the royal banquet dining menu (for parties of four or more) featuring cold and hot zakuskis such as caviar, veal tongue, and potatoes with lisichki as well as entrees like Ossetrina pod Syrom (baked sturgeon topped with breadcrumbs, savory cream and melted cheese) and roast duck. The vodka menu is perhaps the largest in Los Angeles; order up a flight of three vodkas or choose a specialty cocktail like The Anna Korenina with Stoli vanilla, butterscotch, and a shot of espresso. Live international music on the Russian tip gets young hipsters and senior citizens alike up on the dance floor.
