Munchin' at the Junction

Know something we don't?
Indie rock meets Spanish grotto meets abandoned film set at this longtime Silver Lake institution. Once one of the city's earliest film studio spaces, El Cid now hosts regular Flamenco dinner-time dancers and plenty of Indie rock shows. One of the Fold's main venues for its folk-pop promotion roster, it's a visually astounding venue with terraced outside dining and all sorts of nooks for making out indoors. The boilerplate Spanish food is an afterthought, but useful for when you've pounded a few too many beers to drown out that singer-songwriter who just won't quit mewling.
TIPS: Keep the good times flowing at 4100 Bar or grab a sobering cup of coffee at Intelligentsia in Sunset Junction or a mint tea at Casbah. Parking is usually available on the sides of Sunset after dark if you don't mind walking.
