Is the margarita the new PBR? As shaggy-haired sentries make a permanent foothold in longtime Latino neighborhoods, getting the experimental noise band together for a round of pre-practice margaritas has become the happy-hour tradition du jour. And Casita del Campo, where they dish up enchiladas drenched in cheese and heaping plates of carne asada to sop up all that booze, has become the Echo Park hotspot of the moment. Kitschy-cozy decor is the key that makes Casita feel like a place that's worth hanging out at for the whole night. A bustling main bar, a pool table and at least four separate dining areas create a maze-like setup that never gets old. The food is traditional Mexican and super heavy on the cheese.

TIPS: A sign out front proclaims that Casita has the best margaritas in L.A. This may or may not be true, but they might be the strongest, so don't throw back too many in rapid succession. Looking for some late night fun after eating? Head down the street to catch some rock 'n' roll at Zen Sushi.
