After 10 years of serving what they call “creative Californian cuisine,” the menu here has been overhauled to better live up to the café’s name—occasionally whipping up a virtual United Nations in one dish, such as the roasted corn salad with Thai dressing. Wednesday nights, local comedians come to workshop new material, which sounds better once you realize Conan O’Brien and Craig Ferguson are considered locals. But, basically, stylish people come here to drink fashionable drinks (VeeV infused vodka; lemon cello lemon drops; mojitos, mojitos, mojitos!) in evocative environments like the Morroccan-esque bar, the swank-circa-Barbarella lounge or the nationally indistinct large breezy patio.
