Wrought iron gates open onto a rambling succession of intimate cottage-style dining rooms and charming garden patios where rustic French cooking is served hospitably and in satisfying portions. Chef/owner Micheline Hebert actually hails from Montreal, a pedigree most obviously baked into desserts like sugar pie (from a family recipe) and caramel chomeur (upside down caramel cake). In November, get your annual unveiling of the Beaujolais nouveau here. Big steaming bowls of bouillabaisse, leg of lamb and rosemary chicken are consistent favorites, and there is a very solid wine list.
