Broadway Deli bills itself as a “farmers market restaurant,” and with a semi-autonomous wine shop, a point-and-pick deli counter, a coffee-and-juice station and a full bar spread out across the expansive interior, the restaurant stays true to its assertion. Unless you’re just stopping in for a drink or a picking up something for home, of course, you’ll probably end up in the spacious main dining area and ordering from the extensive menu. A high-end American-style breakfast will set you back anywhere from $7 for three eggs any style to $18.75 for the assorted smoked fish platter with a bagel or country toast. The salads and sandwiches read like a greatest hits of deli fare with prices hovering from the pre-teens to the sweet sixteens, while the open-hearth pizzas and pastas are surprisingly affordable at $10 to $15. Broadway gets a little decadent with its main courses—this is where you’ll find the prime rib, rotisserie chicken—and the prices approach the 30s. But you can be sure that the food is fresh as plenty of the raw ingredients hanging from the ceiling still look like parts of the animal from whence they came.
