Angelato Café

A bright, clean, almost futuristic Italian ice cream shop, Angelato Café combines the words “gelato” and “angel” to describe something so sweet it’s heavenly. The serpentine blue counter reveals over 100 flavors of the gourmet Italian gelato, with standard flavors such as banan, chocolate chip and vanilla bean mixed in with such exotic flavors as café macchiato, pannacotta, mango coconut marble, papaya sorbetto and tartufo bianco. A single sugar cone or cup will set you back $3.25, two scoops $4.75 and three scoops $5.75, while the “afogato” sundae—two scoops of gelato with a shot of espresso and whipped cream—is $5.45. If you’re teeth are still intact after such indulgences, Angelato also serves pastries, shakes, sodas, espresso, coffee and tea drinks, as well as three kinds of panini sandwiches for $5.95 each.
