Noted for its bagel crust—a mixture of poppy seeds, onion, garlic and sesame—Abbot’s Pizza serves the kind of fusion pizza for which California is famous (or infamous). Definitely try the delicious pizza bianca which has onions, tomatoes, fresh basil and cheese with a powerful garlic pesto sauce instead of the usual marinara. A wild mushroom pizza is also on the must-try list. Abbot’s is more a pizza stand than a restaurant—it’s so tiny that most people drive right past it the first time.
