A barbecue festival in Los Angeles where attendees can actually eat barbecue? It's true! It isn't a mega cookoff, but this low-key BBQ fest held on the Santa Monica Beach North Parking Lot (adjacent to the pier) promises a mouth-watering array of meat: North Carolina pulled pork, Texas beef brisket, Memphis baby back ribs, chicken and veggie kabobs, brick-pressed chicken and more. The festival will feature eight pitmasters from locations far and near with Baby Blues' heavenly baby back ribs leading a strong local contingent. Listen to a Johnny Cash cover band as you wash down that meat with an award-winning red velvet raspberry cupcake from Leyna's Kitchen.

What a friggin rip off!! $10 each to get in another $10 to park--- so its $30 just to get us in the gate...I'm thinking the BBQ will make it worthwhile. HA!! There are very few booths other than the 10 or so offering $10 plates of so-so Barbecue. OK...
