These charming little eateries serve Californian-Italian cuisinegood prices. Many dishes, such as the chicken ravioli in wild mushroom cream sauce, compare to what is served at some of L.A.'s highly acclaimed Italian restaurants (at twice the price). No wonder, since owner Norman Cheng honed his skills at the Parkway Grill and other top purveyors of gourmet pizza.
The California-style pizzas (lamb sausage with fennel, mushrooms, red peppers and goat cheese; Thai shrimp with zucchini, red peppers, mint, lime and peanut) are not much different than what is enjoyed by patrons of Spago or the Parkway Grill. Traditional pizzas, a host of pastas and grilled fish and meat entrées are also offered. Open daily for lunch and dinner. -- Roger J. Grody
