Vito's Pizza

One bite of a slice from Vito’s Pizza will have you swearing off Domino’s. Tucked in the corner of an inconspicuous strip mall on La Cienega, Vito’s looks like any other neighborhood pizza joint. The cozy interior is made up of a few tables and chairs as well as some framed posters. But behind the counter is the charismatic Vito DiDonato and his famous New York-style pizza. Thin, crispy and loaded with toppings such as ricotta, pesto, prosciutto and basil (don’t worry, they have regular cheese and pepperoni, too), the pies have drawn loyal customers from around the city to its humble headquarters. The pizzeria also serves a much-loved meatball sandwich as well as beer and wine to wash it down.
