Upper Manhattan Lounge

Would you like some burlesque with your martini?  Upper Manhattan Lounge brings a bit of Sin City to the South Bay. The illuminated bar was modeled after the Onyx Bar at the Red Rock Hotel just outside Vegas, while the wood-trim seating with ostrich leather takes a cue from the Japanese bar at Vegas’ Wynn Hotel. The entertainment, however, reins in the excesses of the Strip, featuring fully clothed lovelies seducing the crowd with their agility rather than just their assets (some swing from a hook in the ceiling) Thursday through Saturday. After the show, a DJ takes over, with 80s and 90s tunes catering to an over-30 crowd. There’s a wide selection of featured martinis with Rat Pack-themed names like the “Dean Martini.” Given all the attention paid to décor, drinks, and dancing, the food is almost beside the point. But you’ll find a selection of small plates to fit any palate, from the petit filet mignon au poivre to the seafood risotto. Perhaps the only indulgence missing is a craps table.

TIPS: Sunday night is Rat Pack night, complete with a Sinatra impersonator.
