About
A near duplicate of the Eagle Rock original, Spitz specializes in the doner kabob, a slow-roasting and rotating, well, spit, that produces thinly sliced seasoned beef or chicken for lavash wraps, panini sandwiches or -- for those who just can't decide -- tasty combo plates where the seasoned meat is served atop a bed of salad and seasoned french fries and slathered with spicy sauce and feta cheese. Falafel is also available for the vegetarian-inclined. Instead of a gelato bar like at the Eagle Rock location, the downtown Spitz will feature a fruit cart offering lighter dessert fare. Unlike the original this Spitz serves an array of craft beers and promises to transform at nightfall into a lounge. Dig DJs? You'll dig doner.
