Mr. Pizza Factory

Specializing in pizza made with a sweet potato crust that's injected with a sweet potato mousse, Mr. Pizza Factory makes the weirdest pies in Los Angeles. The cuisine at this Korean-owned "pizza fusion" joint is very mad-scientist, but it's delicious! There's a lot going on in every one of these pies, but once you stop thinking, you're free to dive into the fluffy orange crust filled with a lightly sweet mousse made from sweet potatoes. The best pizza is the Potato Gold, topped with potato slices and sizable bacon slices. The daunting looking BLT Garden pizza -- known colloquially as the salad pizza -- is topped with a salad's worth of greens, chicken breast chunks and then drizzled with the restaurant's "signature mayonnaise," which tastes remarkably like regular mayo. Forget the standard, thin-crust pizzas. They're unremarkable. And ignore the bulgogi pizza, it tastes more like hamburger pizza from Pizza Hut than anything resembling Korean barbecue. At Mr. Pizza, the weirder the better.
