Thai Taste might look like just another dime-a-dozen strip-mall restaurant, but step inside and you’ll be surprised by how full the place is. It’s a bit of a neighborhood secret and it does a booming delivery business. Regulars rave about the green apple trout with steamed rice ($8.95) as well as the noodle soup with beef balls ($6.95). The lunch special, which is available daily from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and costs $5.25, includes steamed or fried rice, chow mein and one menu item. The menu is also packed with vegetarian options, which are helpfully marked with a “v.”
