Sake and beer are offered with a basic phở and appetizer menu in an industrial-chic loft-style space. This super-smug extra-popular restaurant has no sign. It doesn't need one. Located in a bustling strip mall next door to Rambutan Thai and cater-corner from Cafe Tropical and Silverlake Lounge, Pho Cafe is recognizable due to the lines of customers that regularly accumulate out front. Chicken, beef and veggie pho in a light aromatic broth are served with heaping plates of sprouts, mint and chili peppers. Cold noodle bowls with thin slices of beef are also delicious as is the incredible Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk that you drip-brew yourself at your table.
TIPS: This place is cash only but there is an ATM located inside the liquor store next door. Carry out is a great option as well.
