Bamboo and Thai popcorn chicken set the Southeast Asian vibe, but in the lounge, salsa lessons pop up every Wednesday night, funk DJs take over on Fridays, and Saturday brings in the supper club crowd for contemporary jazz. Happy hour runs daily 4-7pm, when wine, well drinks and beer go for $4, as do snacks. As much a bar as a restaurant, Monsoon serves cocktails by the pitcher, whips up martinis with sake and boasts an extensive wine list. Thankfully there are farmers market veggies—steamed or stir fried—and $4 sushi during daily happy hours to keep your stamina up.
