Located just blocks away from comparable bistros like 750ml and Firefly, Mike & Anne's sets itself apart with fine, unfussy dining that's complimented by a commendable wine list. The menu ranges from laid-back comfort food like an excellent burger and fries to more adventuresome fare like seared fois gras and organic Scottish salmon. Though the crisply modern restaurant is comfortable and well-appointed, the best bet is to stake out a place on the expansive front patio, order a Craftsman Poppyfields on tap and just watch the world go by on Mission Street.
