It may have a fast-food format, but Wolfe Burgers has a lot more character than its plastic corporate competitors. Wood and brick accents add a homey touch to the dining room, where the walls are painted with colorful, flamboyant wolf characters. A quiet back patio with a rustic charm is a favorite among regulars.
"Wolfe" burgers are char-broiled. For a few cents more than a Big Mac, the quarter pounder here delivers plenty of satisfaction; one-third and one-half pound versions are offered as well. Other menu items include a veggie burger, Philly cheese steak sandwich, addictive lightly battered onion rings, chili, and honey-baked cobblers from Pasadena's Cobbler Factory.
