About
An extravaganza of Japanese novelty fare, Tokyo Wako boasts eight family-style teppanyaki grills, a sushi bar, and a regular dining room where indecisive types can order from both. The teppan area incorporates all the theatrics of Benihana: waitresses dressed in kimonos and chefs tossing grilled meat into the tops of their toques. Though the dining room feels generic in contrast, the full menu features lively dishes like mango sea scallops and Ichi Ban lobster, as well usual suspects like soba, udon, and teriyaki. It’s perfect for dinner with the kids after a movie at the theatres next door; fussy little ninjas can choose between children’s meals of chicken, shrimp, or steak, while mom and dad can enjoy lychee martinis.
