The Courtyard

When the weather calls for dining al fresco, the Courtyard is one of the outstanding options in WeHo. Surrounded by exposed brick and autumnal hues, the outdoor courtyard is the ideal place to dine, though the indoor dining area is also pretty pleasant. The menu consists of Spanish tapas—the meat dishes doused in exotic spices are most enticing. Happy hour happens twice daily (4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and then 10 p.m. to close); Mondays serve $5 martinis; Tuesdays offer half-price tapas; and wine bottles are half-off with dinner on Wednesdays. The Courtyard makes a great warm-up to after hours at one of the many bars nearby, including The Palms, Barney’s Beanery, Bar 1200, and the Normandie Room.

 TIPS:  If you’re looking for beer, this isn’t your joint (there are only three types on tap). So load up on sangria instead; carafes are $9 during happy hour. If you’re with a party of six or more, ask for the “Jesus table” and feast like you’re at the last supper.
