One of the best places to find Eastside-style on the Westside, it’s still a calmer (that is, until after the bars close) cousin to the West Hollywood institution, where there are fewer tattoos on the waitresses and dimmer mood lighting. Same Andy Warhol-meets-Love American Style walls and red and green tartan vinyl booths. Open late, it mixes good vegan and vegetarian food with chili cheese fries and a well-loved and surprisingly ungreasy tuna melt. Now importing boutique red velvet and carrot cupcakes and utilizing quinoa, a South American grain, in many dishes. Kid-friendly during brunch hours.
