This always packed offering in the heart of Little Tokyo is crowded for a reason: quality. The thinly-sliced meats here are as close to Tokyo-style as you're likely to find in L.A. And the price can't be beat, either (you can certainly pay a lot more for lesser shabu-shabu at any number of spots in Torrance or downtown).
Shabe Shabu house is not much for ambiance (brightly lit and cramped), but somehow, it all factors into the "charm" of the longtime Little Tokyo favorite.
Expect waits over 30 minutes on weekend evenings.
