Walking into this gorgeous establishment one feels, for a minute, transported to a great jazz supper club of the past. The service is superb and personalized attention is given to each guest. The wait staff is knowledgeable and not as condescending as might befit a place of this caliber. The menu updates with some frequency, so it doesn’t hurt to ask about what’s new. The best reason to come? The wine! This place would make Bacchus proud!  They offer wines by the glass, bottle, or the recommended wine flights. For example, the sophisticated ladies flight ($12.00) includes a Cote de Nuits, Pinot Noir, and a Daniel et Denis. The ambiance is eclectic, including couples, groups, and even a few singles enjoying a glass of wine or a cocktail. The surrounding artwork includes some old black-and-white photos of jazz greats and some paintings, which, according to the menu, are all for sale. Managing Partner Bryan Gallyot is always impeccably dressed and makes all the guests feel at home. One friend commented she never feels out of place here; everyone is having such lively conversations accented by the live music, it feels like a familiar party. End the night with apple crème brulee served in a hollowed-out apple and the flight of dessert wines. The live jazz music and food here are perfect for couples (nice ambiance) and old friends who want to catch up.
