ONE Sunset

This New York City transplant brings sleek lounge dining to the Sunset Strip. Though essentially one giant room, the restaurant has four designated areas: the dining lounge, which consists of low booths and white leather chairs, the main bar, the champagne bar, and the candle lounge, a red upholstered section for larger parties. The menu by chef Christopher Ennis is designed to be shared and is separated according to type of dish (coffee and molasses braised shortrib goes under “Crave/Comfort” while the potted Dungeness crab gratinee falls under “Wet/Wild”). DJs spin nightly, accentuating ONE Sunset’s lounge vibe. It may not have the humility of nearby Il Sole or the kitschy cool of neighbor Pinches Tacos, but its second home on the Strip suits this New Yorker just fine.
