Ohana Hawaiian Bbq

This small but growing chain of restaurants (around 15 locations in California from Freemont to Oceanside) has its fans, and detractors.  But it’s very hard to go wrong here if you are looking for quick, decent Hawaiian fare at a reasonable price.  The Hawaiian BBQ Mix combo is probably their most popular dish, and with good reason.  For $7.65, patrons receive a large plate of marinated BBQ beef, chicken and ribs with sides.  But some of the best items on Ohana’s menu are the quirkiest; try the Spam musubi ($1.80 per piece) or the “fried mahi.”   If you are really hungry, you can always snag an Ohana “supa bowl” (over a pound of meat served with steamed rice and mixed veggies).  Wash it all down with a Strawberry Guava from Hawaiian Sun and you’ll be saying aloha in no time at all.  Bright and airy dining area with an upscale fast-food vibe.
