Min's Kitchen

Most Thai restaurants in L.A. tend to be endearing holes-in the wall, a shortcoming that is easily overlooked in the presence of exceptional food. At Min's Kitchen, however, the décor is as charming as Thai cuisine is beguiling, with polished cherry wood tables, comfortable chairs and exotic objets d'art. Service is gracious and the food--while marginally more expensive than those aforementioned no-frills eateries--is consistently satisfying and attractively presented. In addition to the usual pad Thai, satays and creamy panang curry, you'll find items such as garlic clams, grilled trout, sweet honey-barbecued ribs and a wide selection of vegetarian dishes. Meal for two: $45.
