It's amazing that this no-frills hole-in-the-wall located on one of Los Feliz's most coveted stretches of real estate (between Los Feliz 3 Cinema and Skylight Books) has not been shut down by its landlords. That's how incredibly cheap it is. When you're broke and you first move to town it's where you're told to go for sustenance. (We once saw Beck there.) Five dollars will get you a hot bowl of miso soup, a small salad and a hearty California roll. Less will get you a hardy plate of noodles or a pile of vegetable tempura. Sit at one of the outdoor tables or line up for a spot at the teal-tiled counter.
