Lighthouse Buffet

Adorned as it is with a New England-style lighthouse sign, Lighthouse Buffet at first looks like the kind of place the Gorton’s Fisherman might go for some clam chowder. But from the inside it looks like the kind of place Mr. Miyagi might take his karate kids for a sushi celebration. A multi-leveled house of mirrors that retains all the charm of the year it was opened—1986—Lighthouse Buffet offers a fairly incredible deal for fans of sushi, teriyaki, tempura and yakisoba noodles, as well as Asian salads and fruit. The menu boasts an all-you-can-eat buffet for $11.95 at lunch, or $20.95 at dinner, and although sashimi and crab legs are not included in the deal the cost per piece is remarkably low: $1.20 for sushi, $.75 for a California roll. Whole specialty rolls such as the rainbow or dragon are a still relatively inexpensive $7 to $9.
