Killer Shrimp, not surprisingly, serves shrimp. What is somewhat surprising is that, for the most part, that’s all it serves. Sure, it steams in a peppery broth accompanied by rice or pasta, but the bottom line is that it’s really all about the shrimp. They could just as easily have named the place Just Shrimp. As to whether or not the shrimp is “killer shrimp” – that’s for you to decide. For our money, unless it’s overcooked, a shrimp is a shrimp is a shrimp. The aforementioned “peppery broth,” however, is really what distinguishes the food here. It’s hot enough that several ice-cold beers are usually required to finish off your meal. Since there’s really only one thing on the menu, service is quick and attentive. Parking can sometimes be a bit of a problem since you’re competing with the other restaurants in the strip mall.
