Jackson's Village Bistro

The menu section marked “classic and not-so-classic bistro plates” spells out self-taught chef and co-owner Scott Cooper’s open-minded approach to the nouvelle cuisine at Jackson’s Village Bistro: A hamburger and fries butts heads with the aged filet mignon and the Greek salad is offered next to an ahi sashimi salad. The Zagat-rated cuisine doesn’t come cheap, however, with entrées in the $20 to $30 range and the simpler bistro plates in the teens. But the atmosphere in both the dining room and the patio is warm and relaxed and the high-end wine list—updated via weekly tastings—is a grape swimming pool just waiting for your freestyle.
