This tiny corner restaurant was an instant hit when it opened a block away from the Red Lion Tavern several years ago. The reason for the hype is plain to anyone who tastes the food. The unflinchingly healthy menu includes flaky tilapia steamed in banana leaves with lemongrass, shaking beef, green papaya salad and a variety of delicately flavored pho soups. The décor is clean and simple with white walls and warm, low lighting. A small front patio is also available.
TIPS: Expect a wait on the weekends. When that happens head to nearby bars the Red Lion or Cha Cha Lounge or browse for wine across the street at Silverlake Wine.
