Genji Bar

Tucked away on the garden level of Little Tokyo’s New Otani Hotel, Genji Bar is a sake drinkers dream: 29 varieties of sake are available, either by the glass or bottle. The fruity and flavorful Yukino-Bosha is one of the most popular options. The rich and dry Otokoyama is also a big hit with the happy hour crowd. The small, modern lounge is the perfect place to wind down from a long day of work. A large mural of the moon backed by a deep blue sky spans the back wall, above comfortable upholstered loungers and booths.  Modern art sculptures decorate the marble-topped bar and tall potted plants give the room a natural vibe. A full menu of appetizers is available to compliment the various sakes. Yellowtail and salmon sashimi is always popular, but the broiled, skewered chicken and beef are also delicious options.  Sushi lovers will enjoy the spicy tuna roll, served with lightly salted edamame beans.
