This softly lit Italian villa with a grand staircase, plush chairs and white tableclothes seems destined to house wedding proposals, anniversary celebrations and other affairs of the heart. Anything else –such as a listless dinner with your seven-year itch – would be blasphemy. Don’t expect to find the latest cooking trend at this East Village Arts District mainstay, just Old World classics.
