The Flying Leap has served up heaping plates of comfort food in a well-hidden and supremely funky environment for a decade. The interior shoots for an English pub vibe and misses, landing somewhere between your uncle’s basement bar and your big brother’s rec room. The food is hearty and delicious but a bit overpriced. A hunk of juicy meatloaf with caramelized onions and mashed potatoes will set you back $15, and so will a chicken fried steak in a light beer batter.
