Founded in September 1999 by Oaxacan natives Mario and Maria Ramírez (originally from San Felipe Tejalapam), El Fortín serves authentic Oaxacan food made with 100% Oaxacan products and catering to native Oaxacan palates. El Fortín also wholesales and retails Oaxacan chorizo, <i>tasajo, cecina enchilada, quesill, chapulines, chiles de agua,</i> bread and more.
