Almost as if to prove how ubiquitous dim sum is in the 626, this dingy shack plunked in the middle of an inauspicious block manages to offer decent quality, basic dim sum -- shu mai, har gow, bao, lobako and more – at rock bottom prices. The flavors aren’t subtle and the food is greasy, but it’s quick and tasty. Equally important, most dishes can be ordered piece-by-piece rather than by the plate, so you can have your fill of sesame rice balls, barbecued pork puffs and custard tarts in whatever quantities and combinations you desire. There’s no place to sit unless you count the scummy table looking out over the picturesque vista of a cracked and weed-strewn parking lot, so plan on making it a take-away destination.
