Locals have learned how to speak “Daphanese.” They know the avgolemono is egg lemon soup and they ask for “fire feta” (feta blended with four varieties of peppers and secret spices) by name. But the overwhelming favorite here are the gyros, which come wrapped in warm pita or on a plate with Greek salad, rice pilaf, and tzatziki sauce.
