L.A.'s oldest taquito-ría. Since 1938.
Popular food: Taquitos, taquitos with beans and guacamole, taquitos with tamales, taquitos with chiles rellenos -- you get the idea.
Drinks: Horchata, tamarindo, jamaica, lemonade, soft drinks.
Seating: Really more of a stand than anything else, but they have a couple of small tables inside -- most people lean up against the building, go eat in the plaza, or get it to-go.
Ambience: Tourists, local residents, Red Line riders, folks from across the bridge.
Extras/Notes: Very low-key, simple menu. Don't expect anything fancy here, but it certainly exemplifies cheap and delicious. Go shopping in the tourist stalls after your meal.
Parking: Pay lots and scant street parking -- cross into Chinatown and walk back.
