Tired of all the popular small-portion meals like tapas and sushi? Head to Charlie G’s in Tarzana.  A Prime Steakhouse, this somewhat high-end (but not too snooty) restaurant offers a highly diversified menu of big plates. Whether you are looking for Petrossian Beluga caviar for $75, escargot for $8.95, a prime rib eye steak for $32.95 or fried Australian lobster tail (this one is, of course, market price), you’ll find it at Charlie G’s. The restaurant offers a private dining room for events as well as a piano-lounge type room that’s a little less fancy than the main dining room. Regardless, the dress here is a bit more upscale than your standard Los Angeles area restaurant – but just a bit. A nice spot for a romantic evening, Charlie G’s service is polite and attentive, and their martinis are always popular.
