A downtown Torrance favorite for over a decade, By Brazil knows how to do happy hour right.  From 5-7 p.m. every weeknight, the Caipirinha flows freely here.  But most southlanders come for the BBQ—specifically the buffet option.  For $18.99, you’ll be able to eat to your heart’s content on such Sao Paulo specialties as bacon wrapped turkey, chicken hearts, top sirloin cap and spicy sausages.  Naturally, you’ll also have to have some fried sweet plantains to go with said meat feast.  If you have any room left, try one of the fantastic deserts (we like the Quindim aka coconut custard).  Although they don’t serve hard alcohol, By Brazil has wine, beer and fantastic juices (Guava, Mango and Cashew Fruit). Wednesday is “wine night,” where patrons get 50% off any wine bottle during dinner. Also reccomended: the housemade pão de queijo.
