About
The steaks are haute at trendy Sunset Strip eatery BOA Steakhouse. While area classics such as Mastro’s and Morton’s may rival (if not outdo) BOA in quality, the chain, which comes from the Innovative Dining Group (the same family that brought us Sushi Roku and Katana) and has branches in Santa Monica and Las Vegas, outshines in décor and scene. It’s the steakhouse for Hollywood scenesters and young industry players. The décor is sleek and geometric with low booths and indoor trees; the menu is simple and categorized by “surf” or “turf.” Especially hungry diners, of course, can get a combination of both at market price. It’s a satisfying prelude to a night out at neighboring SkyBar or the Comedy Store, or an end in itself.
TIPS: Sunday is Wine Lovers’ Night, with half off all wine bottles. But don’t settle for a half booth; for a cozier dining experience, request one of the two full booths.
