With fresh vegetables, organic chicken and hip, modern decor straight out of the West Elm school of interior design, Blue Hen is a step above the usual mini-mall fare. Located on a slowly evolving stretch of Colorado Boulevard not far from other neighborhood dining lynchpins the Oinkster and Coffee Table, the small and understatedly hip restaurant offers huge bowls of <i>pho</i>, tofu dishes and tasty beverages like pulpy orange tonic (consisting of fresh-squeezed juice and carbonated water) and Vietnamese Coffee, as well as an assortment of chalkboard specials and desserts. Don't miss the tumeric fries, a salty and delicious appetizer.
