About
An inauspicious green exterior hides a charming sushi restaurant complete with an outdoor firepit. Sushi chef Frank Toshi Sugiura serves raw fish and small plates (kozara) that range from fried mashed potatoes rolled up in seaweed to frogs' legs to monkfish liver pate. There's also tamer fare like calamari, fried tofu, crab cakes, spinach gomaae, vegetable dumplings and vinegared cucumbers. Bar Hayama also offers half a dozen different sakes.
